Our expert team at BRE Global Ireland in Dublin will provide the support that manufacturers, importers and distributors of construction products need for the certifications required for products to be sold in EU markets.
Complete Product Certification, Inspection, and CE Marking Services
BRE Global Ireland is accredited by the Irish National Accreditation Board (INAB) to undertake product certification. The scope of the accreditation can be found here. BRE Global Ireland is also accredited as an inspection body. The scope of that accreditation can be found here.
With support from the Irish Government, BRE Global Ireland applied for EU Notified Body status. In addition to the services provided under its INAB accreditations, BRE Global Ireland can provide manufacturers with complete CE marking services for products that are covered by harmonised European Standards as a Notified Body (NB), and European Technical Assessments as a Technical Assessment Body (TAB), under the Construction Products Regulation (CPR). The CPR NB scope can be found here and the CPR TAB scope can be found here. BRE Global Ireland can also provide testing and attestation of conformity services under the Marine Equipment Directive (MED). The MED scope can be found here.
BRE Global Ireland will also provide testing and attestation of conformity services under the Pressure Equipment Directive and Transportable Pressure Equipment Directive.
With Notified Body status, the team in Ireland can deliver the service activities under the CPR and the directives that our current and future clients require – both in the transition of products already in the market, and in supporting new products to the market.
Dublin Test Laboratory
We are creating a new test laboratory in Dublin with facilities for our engineers, scientists and technicians to test a range of construction and fire protection products. This €3.5 million investment will enable us to provide expert and independent testing and certification of construction and related products and materials.
We will also be seeking opportunities for undertaking collaborative research projects with partners in Ireland and in other EU countries.
